Fascia & Soffit Repair in Niles & Gaylord, Michigan
Fascia and soffit protect the edge of your roof from water, weather and animals. Homes Roofing Co repairs and replaces rotted fascia and damaged soffit, and checks the roof edge, gutters and attic ventilation while we are there.
Problems at the roof edge are easy to miss from the ground until they cause bigger damage.
Soft or rotted boards
Fascia that feels spongy, crumbles, or has dark water stains has been soaking up water and will keep getting worse.
Peeling paint and stains
Paint that keeps peeling along the roof edge usually means moisture is getting behind it.
Sagging or loose gutters
Gutters hang on the fascia. When the board rots, the gutters pull away and water spills down the wall.
Animals getting in
Gaps, holes or missing soffit panels are an open door for birds, bees, squirrels and bats to get into the attic.
Ice and drips at the eaves
Ice dams and overflowing gutters push water into the roof edge, which is hard on fascia and soffit in Michigan winters.
Missing or damaged soffit
Cracked, bent or missing panels under the overhang let weather in and look worn from the street.
What We Do
Every estimate spells out exactly what we will do. Fascia and soffit work usually includes:
Replacing rotted or damaged fascia boards
Repairing or replacing damaged soffit and closing gaps
Checking the roof edge and the gutters that hang on the fascia
Making sure soffit vents let the attic breathe
Photos of what we find, so you see exactly why it needs attention
Cleaning up when we finish
Getting a new roof? Rotted fascia often shows up during a tear-off, and we can take care of the roof and the trim in one project.
Why Fascia and Soffit Matter
Fascia is the board along the edge of the roof, where the gutters attach. Soffit is the underside of the overhang between the roof edge and the wall.
Together they seal the roof edge against water and animals. Vented soffit also lets air into the attic, which helps keep it dry and helps prevent ice dams in winter.
10/10, would recommend for all your exterior needs! Brett and his team recently removed and replaced our soffit and fascia. They did a great job and were very professional! Will be using them for our siding next.

Brett and his crew did a great job for a fair price. I highly recommend HOMES Roofing. We had a tear off, a new roof, and new trim. They were professional, on time, and did everything we asked for. Our trim has a lot of detail work and Sergio did an amazing job replacing it. My house looks fantastic and I will recommend HOMES Roofing to everyone.

Fascia and Soffit Repair Questions
What is the difference between fascia and soffit?
Fascia is the board along the edge of the roof that the gutters attach to. Soffit is the underside of the roof overhang. Fascia keeps water out of the roof edge; soffit closes in the overhang and, when vented, lets air into the attic.
Should I replace fascia when I get a new roof?
If the fascia is rotted, yes. It is easiest to fix while the roof is being replaced, and new gutters or trim need solid boards to hang on. We check the fascia during the tear-off and show you photos of anything that needs replacing.
Can you stop animals getting in through the soffit?
We repair or replace damaged soffit and close the gaps animals use. If animals are living in the attic now, have them removed first so they are not sealed inside.
How much does fascia and soffit repair cost?
It depends on how much of the roof edge is damaged, how high it is, and whether gutters need to come off and go back up. We inspect for free and give you a clear price before any work starts.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing is available on projects over $3,000 through our partner Enhancify. Checking your options uses a soft credit check that will not affect your credit score.
